Bloomberg reported that Jonas Adler, who led AI coding initiatives within Google's Gemini team, and Alexander Pritzel, a senior training researcher, are set to leave Google for Anthropic. The departures follow John Jumper, the DeepMind director and AlphaFold co-creator who already joined Anthropic, and Noam Shazeer, a Google veteran of more than 20 years and founder of Character.AI, who is reportedly heading to OpenAI. Bloomberg cited pre-IPO equity at Anthropic as the primary pull factor drawing researchers away from Google.
