US public broadcaster; report on Russia's July 1 retaliatory mass strike on Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv and Odesa, killing at least 22 and damaging major cultural sites

Reported Russia's July 1 mass missile and drone attack on multiple Ukrainian cities: at least 22 killed, 130 injured. In Kyiv, 6-7 died and Russia struck the Cabinet of Ministers building for the first time, along with five residential blocks; the Dormition Cathedral and Museum of Historical Treasures (Kyiv Pechersk Lavra), Dovzhenko Film Studios, Mystetskyi Arsenal and the Palace 'Ukraine' concert hall were all damaged. In Dnipro, 16-17 were killed and the Dnipro House of Organ and Chamber Music was damaged. Russia deployed an Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile. Ukrainian air defenses claimed to have intercepted all but 54 drones and 9 missiles.
